Public Release of our TestZone

Post by Rebel »

I've been considering this over the past several days. I realize that it would tip our hand as to some of the innovations and some models associated with tc_isle, but we're going to have to give up something to the community here to keep them interested in our work. We also need to rekindle our own interest in our level since we haven't been doing squat as of late.

I'll prep it. I'm modelling (lol) a tower house for it at the moment, will have a ladder puzzle with it... just to add a little bit more to the zone.

(once finished, I'll upload the model so Remdul could look it over, perhaps fix whatever he might not like about it)

Yea, things have been rather slow lately, though some of that is our fault. :?

Here's a screenshot of the tower. Haven't made the extension ladder yet, nor the trap door. It's ok if ya think it sucks, you can say so. :P (blantantly stole the lighthouse's roof and railing -- easier than modeling those parts myself)

tower's looking good...

oh and yeah... you'*re right about the slowliness being our fault...

I can say that I've been pretty lazy lately myself...

but as always I'll try to make up for it the following days...

I've been lazy myself lately, too. Although, I attribute some of that to being back at work full time and just being damn old! lol

Well, I doubt that I'll add the tower anyway. The model is just ok, and besides, I can't texture for shiat and I don't want to take any time away from Remdul to take care of more important matters. I think I'll just add an play animation example to the level, towards the end of the week I'll upload it onto the public server. From there, I imagine you could package it up, create an installer after you download it, MP.

I'll try to upload it by Friday Nite, MP. Work's been beatin' the living hell out of me this week, not much energy the past few days. Please post up that diehard server address again. I don't know where the hell I put it. :?

Yup, I got it buddy. Just got my sorry ass home, but after dinner I plan on uploading the level and the associated tpa package needed for the sounds. I'm not sure how you want to bundle this, create a new executive and new tpa, or just run a tpa update on the stream, but either way I'll give you the *bat file, the sounds u need and you can make the choice.

I'll post up the links, and/or let you know when they're up. ;)

*Done. Two Zips, tzone and tzsound. They're outside of the public.html folder.

okay, I got em. Unfortunately, I was smart enough to delete one of my backups for the installer... so I will have to redo it all... no biggie, but may take me longer...

I bet I can get it up for wednesday though...
