Quick Q re: Tres Edit

Post by m0ds »

Hi there! It's been years...possibly a decade since I last posted here, same amount of time since I last used Tres Edit. I just wanted to doublecheck something:
When Trespasser loads a level, it creates a .swp file in the
Trespasser directory. These files contain the decompressed textures
for a level, and are required by TresEd to load a level.
Do I have to play through the game to unlock the SWP files?

When I first used it, I had likely played and completed the game, but right now its not installed and a totally different PC to back then. So just wanted to check how say, I'm going to be able to access objects from later levels. Am I going to have to play through the game, or is there some trick to get the SWP files "created" quicker?

Many thanks! Mods

There's a utility called swpz (or something like that) which decompresses he spz files.
It should be under tools on the main site. Just drop a spz and it'll create companion
swp file.
