*slight necro*
Juuuuust played this level for the first time. Looks amazing! Surely there's not been a Tres mod with such dense foliage before...

I'll have to update the level soon, I've done quite the physics for many of these plants since most of them are in RTJP~Helipad. Then finally people could put the objects to use.Draconisaurus wrote:*slight necro*

Damnit, everytime I try to launch the map it says a fatal error has occurred, oh well :/
Re: TI's Mega Jungle (Resource) - Released!
Are you running it in CE, or ATX? It definitely won't work in ATX. If it's crashing in CE, your computer might not be up for it. The level is extremely dense in flora.Deagles4life wrote:Damnit, everytime I try to launch the map it says a fatal error has occurred, oh well :/
Re: TI's Mega Jungle (Resource) - Released!
Started doing a bit more work on this resource. Haven't had much time on my hands since I got a new job, but for some reason I got in the mood to model general floral assets, and decided to make this level more a compilation of all the flora I model in the future...here's a sneak peek:
Also added some more to the jungle assets, and replaced some of the older textures and models with newer ones used in RTJP:

Yes Those pines remind me a lot of Tres concept art - models I have been longing to see ingame for ages.
Re: TI's Mega Jungle (Resource) - Released!
Excellent, that was the intent. Not exact since I wanted to make them look more like the real sequoia trees, but close enough. I made several more evergreens recently as well, which I'll show off as soon as I get the textures down.Draconisaurus wrote:Yes Those pines remind me a lot of Tres concept art - models I have been longing to see ingame for ages.
Re: TI's Mega Jungle (Resource) - Released!
Decided to take some of the work I'd done on these assets in RTJP and port them over to MegaJungle, as well as finish off the physics for most of the objects. And so, at long last, here comes the next version of MegaJungle, 0.3! This update contains the redwood and evergreen-type foliage and terrain, some more tropical plants, and a brand-new set of three Moreton Bay figs, as well as an example area for the redwoods (and a small, unfinished one for the figs as well). Please note that some of these models are very-high poly, especially the Moreton Bay figs and the small evergreen trees, which means they require CE to work. Everything also includes proper HD textures!
In the future I plan on reducing the detail somewhat on the evergreens as right now they can cause a lot of lag when placed in groups. I also can now safely allow the use of these objects in a level, although some of them still need physics - I would suggest you avoid using those few for the time being.

Re: TI's Mega Jungle (Resource) - Released!
Just in time... I just got a replacement videocard today at noon sicne the old one somehow failed on Sunday (cooling fan stopped spinning ad as the card overheated, the PC kept shutting down). Had this been released yesterday, I'd have been banging my head against the wall and shouting "Why? WHY? WHYYYYY???!!!"
