Re-booting My Trespasser YouTube channel!
Hello my old friends? Remember me? A lot of years ago I ran a a long-term youtube channel with tons of Trespasser videos—and well, I'm back with a new series called Trespasser Nostalgia:
And for a personal update on me, I'm now at University doing hardcore java and c++ programming for my study, work, and hobbies. I'm not just a little mapper anymore As of late I've been working on an upgrade to the game The Battle Grounds 2 with the hope of getting it on Steam.
That just shot me an idea—Trespasser on Steam?

Lovely life update mate.
Good on you, good luck with programming and getting your game on steam!

Ah, good to see new updates coming along. If you're getting back into Youtube, I'd like to suggest you attempt the "Trespasser Challenge": that is, completing the game without using any guns or bunny-hopping away from dinosaurs.
And of course good luck in school! Can't say I'm much a supporter of the school system myself - being an artsy kind of person, I find they don't teach in a style that sticks with me - but I know that in certain fields it definitely helps (programming being one of them ).
Trespasser on Steam is something I'd really rather not see. Steam tends to cause a ton of problems for modders whenever an old game gets released on there due to the implementation of the DRM, which often forces modders to come up with weird and annoying workarounds to get past. It would be neat to have Tres released to a larger audience, but I don't think Steam is the best platform to release any old game in general. Now, a release of Tres on GOG.com would be pretty great, since GOG doesn't use any of that DRM crap and has superior community input when getting the game running on newer operating systems (they frequently even use community-made patches if the game requires them to run), so I'd be very behind it getting on there instead.

Welcome back! Been a while.
Have a request - could you possibly do a walkthrough of JPDS~trails which features the Hunters Camp?

I second this - I don't think there's a playthrough of Trails on Youtube which shows off the camp, nor is there one that demonstratesHave a request - could you possibly do a walkthrough of JPDS~trails which features the Hunters Camp?

Welcome back to Jurassic Park, Awesome! It's really cool that you're coming back to this community, especially with new Trespasser videos. I believe that your channel along with UberGamer1309's were the pioneers of Let's Playing custom Trespasser levels. Hopefully you can go back to recording those because you always played through some of the more obscure levels from this site. (Seriously, I think you were the only one who recorded a playthrough of Nem's Trespasser: Legacy)

Yesh, and - don't want too much of JPDS spoiledTheIdiot wrote:I second this - I don't think there's a playthrough of Trails on Youtube which shows off the camp, nor is there one that demonstratesHave a request - could you possibly do a walkthrough of JPDS~trails which features the Hunters Camp?Would be neat to have clips of those since at the moment there isn't really a complete walkthrough of JPDS. I would also like to suggest showing
- Spoiler: show
as those are parts I found to be exceptionally tricky to figure out when I first went through JPDS.

Re: Re-booting My Trespasser YouTube channel!
I think the first time I did all of those JPDS videos I had read through the topics about them. I did hear about the mayan ruins, amber mine, and other places, but I never really found them myself because the discussions about them were always cryptic like "I won't tell you exactly where it is because you need to feel it for yourself." Generally JPDS is too cryptic for my taste but if you guys could give me a few pointers I'd definitely go through it again.
But here's this week's video! I really like how I'm cutting out unnecessary parts out to make the video smoother and concise. And speaking of other Trespasser youtubers, for my next few videos I will have a special guest playing with me...

Re: Re-booting My Trespasser YouTube channel!
I think doing a video series of spoilers shouldn't really be considered a bad thing as it would allow people to work out the solutions to puzzles without having to cheat. Some of the puzzlesYesh, and - don't want too much of JPDS spoiled
- Spoiler: show
Ah! Would probably also be advantageous to show off some other small Easter Eggs, like
- Spoiler: show
In any case, I think that if you DO choose to show off JPDS, you should definitely listen to Draco's wishes on this. Maybe a written walkthrough would be a superior way to assist players without spoiling everything?

Re: Re-booting My Trespasser YouTube channel!
Sweet JR playthrough, Awesome. Glad you're doing these again.
As far as JPDS goes - the puzzels are difficult and are meant to be... I must admit, in retrospect, some of them are too diffiuclt (thinking of the browning ammo on that one..). JPDS~streams is the most "intact" level... The puzzels and environment stuff is all intact. The rest of the JPDS levels are a little.. unfinished.. (JPDS~plains is *mostly* finished)
I wish to note that JPDS's nonlineality is quite intentional and important. Getting lost in the levels is part of what's supposed to happen. Difficulty is important.
