I'm fairly certain the beta stuff is meant to stay off the front page. Could upset some powerful folks. It's best to keep that stuff to the forums :P

And I would update the site myself since Tatu isn't in charge of it anymore but I forgot how and no one has reminded me yet in the Admin thread about it

But the weapons and dinosaurs sections of the main site were updated with beta stuff, too...?

Well, it's ok to have information like that on the main page... but not a play by play breakdown of the entire beta. Plus that isn't exactly the front page either  And nothing about the sauce should go up their either.

Okay, but these are among the articles of the main site as well:

• Differences Between levels in build 116d and the patch 117

• glitchhunter09's Beta 96: About And FAQ General Differences Beach

Uh... 116d is the English retail version, so there's nothing wrong comparing the 116d and 117 versions, it's a "before and after the patch" thing.

My bad, I meant these:

http://www.trescom.org/index.php?page=r ... t_faq.html
http://www.trescom.org/index.php?page=r ... 96_gd.html
http://www.trescom.org/index.php?page=r ... 96_be.html

Edit: Oh I get it, it's fine to put them under articles, just don't put in in the news section. Right?

I don't think EA can do anything since we aren't hosting the download. I even put a disclaimer about the reader finding the beta themselves because we won't help them, in one of the articles I made.

I redid the gas station to reflect the new information in the "Town Set" thread. As I indicated in that thread the gas station appeared to have been redressed as some point for another production that we have yet to identify. However the new photo in that thread did help identify some details I had difficulty making out in my screenshots from the movie.

I also noticed that in my original level I forgot that the raptor exited the gas station through a different window than the one it came in so the station now reflects that.

4 days later... New Post

I decided to turn my attention to the little burden carriers in the town and making variations of them:

Thanks guys!

Oh man... So many pipes and many of them seem to not connect to anything. And so many physics objects that had to be made... I feel dizzy.

The big pipe that comes up one side of the building then goes down another side comes straight out of the ground in the same place as those big arch shaped pipes. However it doesn't connect to the main plant at any point and just goes straight into the tower. I bet it monitors the pressure of the production well and is designed to let off excess steam to prevent damage to the main plant. But this system has so little in common with real Geothermal Plants that it's hard to really tell what is what

EDIT:

Some more work:

Image
These electrical boxes were a pain. I tried to search for similar boxes and ended up having to just photoshop the screenshots as best as I could. Ah well. All that needs to be made for the Gen tower are the light fixtures and the tools hanging on the wall.

Image
Ha-HA! Now the raptors can't get me!

On a related noted, you know you've spent too much time modding Trespasser when you can import a retail door (as I did for the door to the backroom) and have the opening you eyeballed be only a few in-game inches off from where it should be.
