Hey, hppav just wanted to say that I think your models look fantastic! Especially your picture of the Visitors Center that you have in your signature. I took a class on 3D modeling last year and truth be told while it was a fun class, my 3D skills stink.

Looked through your thread once again and I am still blown away with what you have achieved with the number of polys used. Great job and fantastic weathering too!:)

The recent eBay find of vagrantart
here has inspired me to go back to the Trailers I was working on before. I have redone the back end of the trailers now with the new information available.
To tell you the truth, prior to that auction I had no idea that there were folding legs on the back door of the trailers. Kinda cool. I still have to make the giant window that folds out and up over this patio. I also noticed that the T-Rex attack version of the rear trailer only has 3 bars in the rear window while all other versions of the rear trailer have 4 bars (including the one used in the daytime interior shot).

I was checking out your maintenance shed model,it was on my list of ones to do (had a space set out for it in my level but its just jungle now). You got a lot further than I did,I was screengrabbing the same shots trying to figure it out.You ever think about putting your models into Unity? would be a cool thing to add to this site to have embedded webplayer with them on it,would be pretty easy to do too.

I've only used Unity a couple of times, personally. Never had a computer that could handle it that well
Of course that's changed with this current computer so I may play around with it in the future.
Anyway, some updates to the trailers:
I've added a bunch of details to the interior of the front trailer and made some modifications to the ceiling. You couldn't get a good view of it in the movie but that eBay auction really helped out. The gap there on the left side is where there's a sink/stove combo unit. I find it odd that Kelly didn't use that to cook. Also getting a good look at those round lights in the ceiling was a bit tricky. I ended up having to find a shot from when the rear trailer is over the cliff to get a shot of 3/4s of one and use that to make the whole fixture. Never noticed that they had little bars over the lights to protect them.
Here's a closeup of some of the small details in the front trailer. I hadn't realized just how many small maps of the island chain are present in the movie. There's a few more up in the extension beside the large map as well.
I've also updated the exterior colors to be a bit more green. The older colors just looked a bit too bluish for me. I also decided to remove that passenger side Fleetwood RV logo and lower the top of the door a bit because it was too high. I'll have to do the same to the rear trailer once I get done with the front trailer.

I might have to build that maintenance shed lol keep thinking about it,did you model the button panel? the one with the fences and stuff.I'll be honest upfront I will probably check you work out for reference!.I'm really tempted to do the VC dining room too but it's such a big area.

Yeah, I did make that. It's in this thread along with a few of my little oddball releases:

Oh and yeah, anyone can use anything I make for any purpose
I make these things because I want to see them in full 3D and walk around them and interact with them as if I was actually there. I need to get more of my stuff done so that I can release it. Probably the biggest reason why I do 3D work is because it's easier to visualize a space in 3D in order to dig for better references for a room and you notice far more details this way. My accuracy rating is somewhere close to 90% when it comes to stuff like this because of how many reference I use
Oh and here's the Visitor Center level I was working on. The dining room is probably the most complete room in the whole level
I haven't worked on it for a while.

It doesn't have all the furniture that I made in it, like the stuff for the alcoves off the sides. I'm pretty sure those were in another version that I don't have already uploaded. I uploaded this originally to have machf test it because I was getting odd FPS slowdowns which turned out to be because of how crappy my old laptop was since I have no problems with it on this computer. If you ever do the dining room, what i have here should help you out a bit
This thread shows some of the research that went into the dining room as well, including those little alcoves:

Look like I got to model that shed now, your reference images are too good not to now I have no excuse. It's the going back and forth between film clips and images that put me off a lot of these,it slow modelling down so much. The visitor centre dining room I'm so tempted but would mean remodelling the main room / exporting and applying all the lighting and textures before even starting, will see how it goes on that one but I know how my brain works..will drag me back to it.

I have some updates:
The roof of the trailers is pretty much done, aside from some UVWs on the front trailer roof to fix that awful tiling and finishing up its physics. Good to at least have the modelling work done completely for one part of the trailers.
Also I started in on those AAVs everyone's been wanting me to include with the trailer.

Thought you'd like that one. Here's an update on the AAV:
Most of the modeling for this version of the AAV is done. Just got a few details here and there that I still have to do. Shouldn't take me more than a day to finish the modeling aspect, then I have to finish the texturing (mainly the camo) and then do the physics. After that I can modify it for the other two AAVs.
