Yes, in the .ini file of the demo you use "256" since it's written as a plain decimal number, but in the registry, you use "100" (1*256+0*16+0) as that's the hexadecimal equivalent of 256... ("256" would actually amount to 2*256+5*16+6=512+80+6=598)

I could alternatively just type FF though... Oh wait, that's 255.... Well actually, no, it would be 256 though since Hex starts at 0, so yeah, FF should work I think... Then again, it may not accept letter values so 100 works better I suppose.

No, &hFF is 255, 256 is &h100, it doesn't matter if you start counting at 0 or 1...

Ah okay. Thanks for verifying. I'm used to the usual 00-FF/00-255 order. So this is different I suppose.

No, it's not. There are 256 integer numbers from 00 to FF in hex, but there are also 256 integer numbers from 01 to 100, and only "100" means 256.

Well anyway, I'm having trouble getting the TPM GMax scripts to work I've followed the directions shown on the site carefully and for some reason, GMax won't read them. Is it a Vista related issue? Do you think Enabling "Run as Administrator" privlages would fix it?

That wasn't it. The damn thing still won't load. Anyway, everytime I do something, the interface screws up and garbles itself in some way. I had to use a 3DS Export because the damn scripts weren't working...

Anyway, I give up on modeling because of how screwed up GMAx is for me and just because it's confusing.
