Some inspiration for level design.

This is the mall used in Blues Brothers, it's been abandoned since the movie was shot. And as such, is falling apart. Take a look at the pics and you may feel inspired to make your levels have that same feel of rot and decay. (Draco will probably pick this up first and do something with it in JPDS, I'm sure, he is that way you know >.>)

EDIT: Decided we should have a dedicated Urban Exploration Level Inspiration thread so I found one we had before and made it a sticky.

Well, this is a find! I enjoyed reading the checkered history of this place. It sounds very Chicago.

I always wondered if that was a real mall or a soundstage they drove through.

It appears as though the main page is inaccessable at the moment.

As I edited into the first post, I decided we should have an official Level Inspiration/Urban Exploration thread.

Here's new things for this thread:

Japan Jungle Park:

Coco Palms Resort, Kauai, Hawaii - Abandoned since the Jurassic Park Hurricane Iniki, making it one of the best references:

Wow, that is an awesome building.
What was it used for?

And could you give me the exact coordinates please?

It was built in the 60s, and was a restaurant
