TPAAdd help!!!!

Post by hppav »

Why does it say "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information."?

All I did was follow your (and Andres') instruction. It says this:

Loaded "Stream.tpa"

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information.

If it helps I typed this:

C:\>TPAAdd "Stream.tpa" "WildThornberrys.wav" "ELIZA"

(And, yes, I am a 'Wild Thornberrys' fan, so what?)

Your command lines don't look like our example;

After the c prompt (C:\windows>) type;

desktop\TPAAdd.exe desktop\Menu.tpa desktop\beep.wav "DINO - TREX FOOT"

This command line 'replaces' "DINO - TREX FOOT" with the wav file 'beep'. If there are no spacings between the wav file's name
, no quotes are necessary.

Quotes " " are only used for file names with spacings.

Your stated command;

C:\>TPAAdd "Stream.tpa" "WildThornberrys.wav" "ELIZA"

Try THIS:
tpaadd.exe stream.tpa WildThornberrys.wav "SOUND ID1"

You should be able to substitute "SOUND ID1" with "ELIZA"

Hmm... shouldn't really be this difficult, Hppav. Perhaps you should download again. This time, place your tpaadd.exe, the stream.tpa and your choosen wav.file onto your desktop. (be certain that the sound file is in proper format, too.

Then, msprompt; desktop\TPAAdd.exe

AT C>

desktop\TPAADD.exe desktop\Stream.tpa desktop\Wildthornberries.wav ELIZA

Drop the " " at ELiZA, since there's no spacings. If that doesn't work, upload your wav file and I'll see if it works on my end....

All I know is that it's the format that my mp3-2-wav converter saves it as. How can I change the format (That [-c] make TPAAdd think it's the tpa.)?

http://www.syntrillium.com/ (Download Cool Edit).

You can load any known sound file within this program, then save in appropriate format, (Windows PCM format or IMA\DVI ADPCM).

There are freebies progs out there as well, I've noticed a few. More clumsy to use, though same results.
