It is almost ready or it is still in test and in creation at the moment?

uhm... Remdul just updated his PineValley site a week ago. I think that he'll start working on some sort of a beta version, but you never know...

it'll still take him plenty of time to do so. You got to realize, that he is trying to recreate a close version to the original... That of course can not be done all the fast...

Righto --

Remdul's main goal with PV is to recreate the level as close as possible to the original. Trees, shrub, buildings and puzzles, all placed at precise locations.

Not, an easy or quik task.

uhm. I guess yes, he has been a help. But of course he is also rather busy, so most of the time, remdul has to recover it all by himself.

Very nice update, Remdul. If your roadways are in proper locales as stated, then you're probably right that the P.V. terrain was minus that one hillside near the Geo-Plant.

There are other levels where the roadways are not exactly where one would expect them to be; maybe that road going uphill was just a deterrent, Anne was supposed to go straight to the Geothermal Plant. Well, just a thought. :)

What do you think is the long dark object in this Demo screenshot: a game trail? a riverbed? a path in the forest? something else?

Been awhile since I looked at the texture mapping for the demo, though pretty sure that corresponds to the water rut coming off the mountain side.

Though, I could be wrong....

No, you are right. Just select the terrain objects in TresEd and check out the name; it's something like "streambed". At the start there's are similare terrain objects but named "hikingtrail" or something similar.

* and remember the dam could have been in PV, water could flow from the dam down the hill in the direction of the plant.

Maybe it's the Dam that can account for that one white n' brown pixelated area on the hilllside. Going by shape, I'd say that's a definite structure of some sort up there.

Rebel, you might wanna check out my post which topic was "PVstuff...". That hill intrest me a lot. There are many "flat" areas in there.

BTW: I edited the terrain WTD a bit. I took of those "clouds" near "demo end" and the one near geoplant where is the weird hill.
After importing that edited map back to demo the slopes near end looks much like those ones in the pic which is from beta without the gate.
