Stand-Alone Levels

Post by the ARK »

Is it possible to turn fan levels into stand alones? If so, how?
This is truly one of the most disappointing moments in gaming history. Gamers are being reduced to digging through the game's installed files to discover what was supposed to happen in the game they just bought.

You mean having the level run on its own without having to use Tres' engine? I don't think so because the .exe file hasn't been hacked so we don't really know what makes the whole thing tick...

No, just make the levels so that I don't have to overwrite my Jungle Road Level.

This is what happens....

Rebel posts the information, 'nobody' reads the stuff! Check the post, 'Stand Alone Levels' (my post, of same name), within this forum. Everything you need to know, is there. ;)

Yeah, I will try to make the jungle to stand alone level in the next version. The beta is still under the original jr name, because the deadline (sending it to madppiper on 23.12.2002) was too tight (Yeah right, I started to make that level in the summer  ). Ok, the Andreses exellent tools weren´t this pro back then (the terrain was "weird" so it was difficult to "plant" trees and stuff).

I'm just ribbing ya, Ark. Besides, pointing you to the post, is much easier than rewriting it.
