Same.
Which only means I'm not in a hurry to include them, but will eventually do it. I just wanted to release a working file in the first place...
And the big question: is it worth making similar files for the earlier releases of Trespasser? (release 22, release 32, release 55, etc.)
I wouldn't think so... Unless you want to cast GeomAdd Known Values files into aether for use in alternate realities where those versions of Tres ended up as retail and thus the basis of alternate TresCom websites...
Well, the idea is to use them whenever someone want to load a level from those releases without getting any error reports... (although I haven't verified wheher they use those particular values or not).

BTW, here's the post where I mentioned them, it's from almost a year ago:

Several (possibly all?) of those are listed in the Big Rex string-dump version. And some are basic in retail... ShoulderHold?..

That was just a comparison between the older ones and the final ones, in the section related to Magnets... and no, not all of them were listed in Big Red's version because he extracted them from the retail executable, and they had been removed from it already. And some new ones were added instead.

Likewise with the various "BOGUS" entries in BigRed's listing (which I removed, of course), they are the result of some dinosaur activities having been removed and then automatically replaced with "BOGUS" (because of the way the program generates those names). I got the actual names from Release 55. Check the latest version of the GeomAdd.knownavalues.txt file I uploaded in my previous post.

Nah, don't get confused: the activities themselves are a handful, and then there are the ratings for each one of them (in the case of the removed ones, 11 activites, plus 9 ratings for each one or 99 ratings total). Activites are of the form "ActName" and ratings are of the form "ActNameEmotion".

Well, considering they actually seem to work, I say the more the better. :P

Oh, and by the way, machf, I was going through the T-Script Reference the other day and noticed in the annotations that you weren't sure if the "float Mouth =" value opens the dinosaur's mouth wider, or opens it faster. Been testing this thoroughly and it definitely determines how wide the mouth opens, and the speed seems to remain unchanged. Lower values than 1.0 tell the mouth to open that fraction of their maximum width, so 0.5 will make it open by half, and 0.1 will barely open it at all. :) Recommend anyone using the JPOG Rex set this value to 0.7-0.85 to avoid the mouth opening ridiculously wide.

There's that solution, and then there's the other solution, where you rotate the bones a tiny bit, which also works decently to make the Rex look down at its target and fixes the broken neck when it rears its head back and roars. Combine the two and you've got yourself a mostly-fixed JPOG rex.

Been wondering myself if there is a way to do something along those lines for a long time, as well. I've thought of using overlays, but their finnickieness is something I'm unsure of. I guess you could just set the fog settings to make it look like the player has reduced vision, or have a CEntityAttached that is just a big 50-60% opaque black ball which only appears when you get spit on.

Reminds me of our abandoned plan to give Nedry blurry vision in ED until you found the glasses... Man that thing was packed with scripting.

Hmm, blurry vision? That seems really tricky to implement, if not impossible... :?

Part of why it was scrapped... Did some testing of attaching an object around Nedry which gave a gray overlay to everything, but that's not quite blur...
