Tres Humvee

Post by Draconisaurus »

Soooooo the other week I started a mini-mod called "HV", in which there was to be an accurately-modelled Tres humvee which was drivable. The modelling alone proved to be more time-consuming than the time allotted for mini-mods and so I've worked on it bit-by-bit. I wanted this level to be the first appearance of the Trespasser humvee since its existence in ancient, lost Trespasser levels, but alas the contest needed to be started and PH needs to humvee for the Hunters Camp (or wherever modders feel like putting it).

At any rate - say hello to the missing Trespasser hunter vehicle:

There are in total 5 variations (two basic mesh/texture varieties) which I have made, all of which can be found in the PH contest template level.

Hoping to complete this level in the next couple weeks!

After seeing them in PH, I say give yourself a pat on the back - they really fit in with the original Tres vehicles superbly. Great sutff!

You mean in the bottom screenshot? That image is a pre-release image, it doesn't even appear to be in the actual game engine, rather a render. Though you can definitely get shadows like that in Tres if you set the brightness in the game options to the lowest. :)

Thankies.

That shadow is from an early version of the Tres pines, as seen in the pine church image.

Indeed. I like that they seem to have had just very long planes sticking out from the stalk with a single texture running down. Thinking it was a holdover from when larger textures were used. Wish we had them.. might try my hand at it sometime.
