It's time to finally spare no expense for Jurassic Time, and go beyond Hammond... go beyond Trespasser... go back to where it all began...

Quote:
"Jurassic Time unearths the vast, long-forgotten ideas of Jurassic Park through exclusive memoirs and other content while paying ultimate homage to the legendary dreamer himself: John Parker Hammond."

"Jurassic Park had groundbreaking special effects" is a phrase often heard when discussing the film. So often, in fact, that it seems to overshadow almost everything else about its production. As beautifully detailed and complex the computer graphics and animatronics were, there was so much more that captured the imagination of its viewers. The idea of a park filled with dinosaurs, and the complexities behind it, plagued the minds of its vast audience.

The basic premise of Steven Spielberg's film, based upon Michael Crichton's novel, made the filmmakers work overtime in detailing just how unique it could be. Many ideas were considered, existing in a limbo between the novel and the film that scarcely anyone knew about. This exploratory phase of pre-production was casually skimmed over with little details in most of the film's official literature and documentaries.

This site hopes to change all that.

"Jurassic Time" has a dual meaning. For online Jurassic Park fans of the last decade, they may recall it as the title of an audiobook-style memoir for John Parker Hammond (the fictional creator of Jurassic Park); using exhumed files of a failed computer game with actual dialogue from actor Richard Attenborough. Its main purpose was to rescue a performance from being lost to time. That same purpose is now applied to a myriad of files and memoirs I have inscribed on these incredible ideas the filmmakers had for the original film. "Jurassic: Uneathed" showcases just what ideas could have been realized if they had survived through production. Ideas for all of us to ponder over, and wonder.

Ideas that should not be lost to time.

I hope you enjoy the content of this site. It is here for all to be entertained and educated by. You may never look at Jurassic Park the same way again...

"Jurassic Time" celebrates its 10th Anniversary of the "Jurassic Time: The Memoir Of John Park Hammond" with an updated video edition.

Experience Richard Attenborough's masterful, nearly-lost performance of John Parker Hammond: the tragic man whose dream of bringing dinosaurs back to life came true; before being swiftly ended. Cobbled from the ill-fated Trespasser- The Lost World: Jurassic Park PC Game, and featuring amazing music by Bill Brown; you'll feel like you're right beside Hammond as he makes his journey across Isla Sorna, playing "God" in the laboratory, and recounting how he felt after the fateful incident at Isla Nublar. It's a compelling and introspective tale you will never find in the novels or films.

In this special video presentation of the "Anniversary Edition", with the immense artistic talents of Felipe Humboldt, Hammond's words are heard against fantastic sketches that illustrate his entire story! In addition, there are numerous stills from Jurassic Park and The Lost World: Jurassic Park tinted and framed deliberately for dramatic effect. We "spared no expense"!

What also sets this edition apart from all that have come before is incredibly substantial. Thanks to the discovery of a source that contained Attenborough's recordings; without its misty "echo/memory effects" that plagued the original and beta game files, we can now hear the vocal performance clearly for the very first time. After a decade of prior editions, and almost two decades hearing it this way straight from the game itself; this is an important milestone in perserving this experience.

The entire Hammond Memoir has been rebuilt from the ground up in order to take complete advantage of this fantastic find. Those familiar with previous editions and the game will find the clarity of Attenborough's delivery practically startling at first. To focus on the voice, no additional sound effects were included except in two brief moments. However, there are some lines of dialogue where the sound effects mixed in by the game designers are still left in; but now in much better quality. You'll also discover newly-created additional tracks that precede and conclude the entire program.

Just got done watching. Amazing as always! I like to think these stand as one of the beacons of creative output which Jurassic Park has inspired over the years. The elements supporting that emotion of secret history and sorrow are all present. Once again I quite appreciate the piano pieces included. Odd to think the first version was 10 years ago...

I will definitely be giving the complete version a watch at some point after Xmas...from what I've seen so far, it's probably the most creatively impressive version so far, although the version with the Trespasser in-game footage will always hold the special place in my heart.
