Am curious... has anyone here ever thought about making a level full of mechanical dinosaurs? I guess you'd need someone to rig new models, unless you do a sort of cyberpunk-dino style... Who here can rig new dino skins?

Re: Mech Dinos
I have no experience with rigging, but it's also possible to just edit the textures of an existing dinosaur.

Re: Mech Dinos
I've considered rigging an AT-AT or an AT-ST just for fun... it's all possible.

Basic rigging isn't so difficult. It requires some trial and error. I do believe there is at least one tutorial thread on here somewhere

Re: Mech Dinos
The old exporter of mine can export rigged meshes. At least it worked for the Anne model. The main issue is though that the rigs in Tres are programmed so if you change the rig the results can be tricky to get working.

Re: Mech Dinos
I've made some new dinosaurs by simply editing original meshes (turned the OGalberta into a baby T Rex for example). Then it's just opening it in TPDC and assigning vertices to the correct bones. Pretty easy, but that's just the basics of it. I know there is a tutorial on the site, that's how I learned that much

Re: Mech Dinos
You know... I kinda like this idea. Maybe I'll work on it sometime... Perhaps start with reskins. Did this ever get tried by anyone?
