Steps To Trespassing Official Thread

(First off, I'm going to say that I'm not going to try to spam this page like I do my video pages.)

Welcome to the Official Steps To Trespassing page in the TresCom forums.

Steps To Trespassing's existence/concept has been for about six months, more or less. Nevertheless, I do not expect all those reading this to know what it is, so here's a little refresher:

Steps To Trespassing is a new Trespasser fan site whose main goal is to help those interested in anything about the game Jurassic Park: Trespasser. It's concept was made by myself, Awesome24712, after my own struggles with the game, which I found insufficient help for. The site provides a guide and a collection of resources to aid others in their efforts, and it also provides continuous content to keep people interested and draw new members into the community.

But I do not take all of the credit for the work I've done. Every step along the way, I've had people helping me in simple and grand ways. The tutorials would never have been possible without other's hard work and efforts, whose perhaps are much greater than my own, and the videos would definitely not have been possible with others' support and feedback. And so I must say thanks to all of my fellow Trespassers, it's as much your site as it is mine.

On this page I hope to keep a log of updates/news posts of Steps To Trespassing as well as ask for your feedback and answer your questions.

Deal with this topic however you wish.

LOG:
================================================

July 22, 2012:

A new article has been added, called, "About The Webmaster." You can find it here. This article details Awesome24712's experiences and will hopefully be a educational and entertaining read to all.

July 13, 2012:

Trespasser Advanced, the series that shows off many of the ATX features and the Trespasser Beta 96 Levels, is now finally over.

The Video Pages have been updated to include the most recent videos.

The new "Game Archive" Page details games very similar in many ways, such as Carnivores and Shark! Hunting the Great White.

Several miscellaneous changes to the guide.

Old-time TresCom-Forum member Hppav has created a new Trespasser blog about many Trespasser things, and includes much information on past projects he's done. Hppav helped make the East Dock and many other levels, so his blog should be a good read for any new Trespasser fan:

June 30, 2012:

It's been a while since an update. Well not much has been added. File formats have been added to the preface page. All video projects are currently on hold.

June 8, 2012:
Oh no! Some dinosaurs have infested the main page!

The Video pages have been updated to include the latest videos, and the "Let's Play" page has sidebar graphics.

May 31, 2012:

The Preface for the modding section of the guide has been completed.

The page for Patches under "Resource" has been updated to include the updated graphics, and now contains the ATX Patch and the official 1.1 Patch.

May 22, 2012:

The previous news posts have been changed to be a bit more correct, as they were NOT posted in April.

The video pages actually have been updated this time, rather than the news post being made before it was actually done.

Corrections have been made to The Guide

Groundwork for later parts in The Guide have been laid.

Season 2 of Trespasser Custom Maps coming soon! In this video, near the end, you'll see the levels that will be done : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dO4mK1jZyR0

Part 6 of Trespasser Advanced includes Pine Valley: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g_Kfneupl6E

And here's the new official Steps To Trespassing page on the TresCom forums: viewtopic.php?f=132&t=9453

May 14, 2012:

The "Utilizing ATX" section for playing has been updated to accommodate for the Trespasser Advanced video series, such features include Third Person Mode, Night Mode, Difficulty Settings, Jumping Dinosaurs, In-Game Maps, New Fog Settings, Hot keys, New Cheats, Rain Effect, Matrix Effect, and more.

The Video Pages have been updated to include the most recent videos.

May 13, 2012:

A Page for Trespasser Advanced, the new series, has been added to the video page with parts one and two already uploaded.

Several miscellaneous changes have been done to existing pages.
Wasn't able to work on the guide this weekend as planned, was busy with some other things.

May 11, 2012:

It's been a while without an update, at least an announced one. As you can see, there is now some paneling design that's been added, to spice things up. Note that it may not be on all pages because it is finicky to set up on each page.

The Video Page has also been updated to include the most recent videos, including the first part of a new series featuring many never-before recorded ATX features and the Trespasser Beta 96 levels. Go Take a look!

The old news posts can be found on a new page. Link is below and in the Articles section.

Expect some more work on The Guide tomorrow.
