Helly guys, I found that device at some internet magazine and it seems that some of the problems everybody got with the "arm simulator" could be overcome by that device.
In the promotion video at https://live.leapmotion.com/ or on youtube (especially at 0:50) you can see how fingers can be controlled.
if the whole arm could be captured via their "3D field" it's probably the perfect controlling device for trespasser.
Brings back Xbox kinect into my mind, would this work on a pc and for a game like trespasser?
Tell me what you think.

Re: Perfect controlling device for Trespasser or a remake
Hmm, I guess it would be possible assuming it had configurations that made it so an action could represent a mouse-click or a key press, and the motion of the total hand itself could simulate mouse movement. I doubt it though.
Still, it would be kind of cool. Would feel awkward though, just as Anne would feel.

Shows it working with half life 2, also mentions on the site of custom gestures, at the most simplest function it'll probably be able to map gestures to keys and mouse buttons. Might seem weird as long as you still use a keyboard to move. Maybe a bit tricky though with setting it up. Shooting, grabbing and dropping would not be too hard, but also got ctrl and shift.

Nah. Once they were available, i never went through with the order.
The more i thought about it, its basically a zero button mouse. There's only so many gestures you can do with your hands and then it starts to get silly.
A mouse and keyboard can do far more than the leap. I'm sure there are application where the Leap is ideal, but not for what i want.
The Razer Hydra is where its at. I hope to order one withing a couple weeks.
There is a new system coming in July, but that's a pretty long wait for a pre-order:

Ah damn, well that Razer thing sounds interesting... I found the Wii motion control to be rather tiring, personally but that's probably just me. It was pretty fun.
