Just an example on CryEngine2 doing not-run-and-gun.

Anwyway, some one in the forums WAS making a Sorna/Cocos map in CryEngine2 some time ago. But I forgot who.

I'm really not sure who this guy is but he made a remake of the Beach level with Cryengine 2. However the video is 3 years old so I'm assuming the project was canned.

That may have been me :)

Been working on it again some time before the ce3 SDK, just converting things over at the moment, got to re-export textures, models and edit materials paths, no small task :D
Am going to basically open it up sometime, for a large project of contributions and such, just got to wait till the SDK is updated to allow sharing of the .cry file, unless people are interested in something now. I mean, I really think it can work, at first as a recreation of Sorna, it'd be more likely to work out.

Has anyone ever ported Tres models into Source? Heck, is that even possible? I'd love to be able to get my hands on them if it were.

Ya know, Deadeye, I've been wondering that exact same thing. I'd love to see some objects as Source engine models.

Quite simple. Export them as 3DS. Import them with blender. Then export them using the SMD exporter.

If you want to import dinosaurs. From what he wrote he's looking though for static props ("objects" he wrote). That should be a no-brainer to do.

I've been thinking about this subject a little bit. I would imagine a recreation of the docks wouldn't be too hard to do, right? It's mostly flat, a lot of buildings.
