It's only mentioning in passing as the sister mountain to Mt. Watson. But besides that one mention in the 1997 walkthrough, I find it a gigantic waste of potential. My idea of taking level is the bridge between PH and JR is blocked by Mt Crick mudslide and rock slide, forcing her to ascent the Mt. Crick. To reach PH. Perhaps the Hunters camp is nearby. It would explain the empty presence of the Gatherer's trailer falling into to the sea, and the nearby Hunter's Camp. And the round up showing ocean near by, elevated just like Crick. I feel like this was something dropped even before the walkthrough was made in whatever draft we have. Who knows. There wouldn't be limited, it would be open with as many INGEN faciltes absent. Trespasser is filled with waaay too many of them. Not enough empty forest like the movie.

Undergrowth would be tropical, canopy would be pine-esque forest

So what exactly the map of Crick, could it support such a level? Size wise? Would it need to increased in size in JR and PH? Maybe a back drop alongside Crick with Watson the further you go? I really want a level merging the two. Crick seems like the logical conclusion. Near the ocean, high altitude, pine forest

A level like this between JR and PH may make pasing longer, but this is a trek, not a walk in the park l

I'm just asking for what a height map might look like increased and fit PH and Pre-Releass JR

Plan on making a detour and having the trek be a little longer

So what you want is a terrain that got early JR and PH together, in the same terrain (level)?

With some modification to Mt. Crick, a level like that would be totally possible.

Yeah exactly. I want to enlarge Mt. Crick just a bit, so that it becomes a detour Anne has to take. Since it's barely fleshed out in the Walk through. So I was wondering if anyone could give me a hand on how to modify Crick to be a bit bigger....

Would Terrain help? Or some T-Script magic? A backdrop? I'm not sure.

You can try editing in 3dS MAX the terrains I posted here:

viewtopic.php?p=120816#p120816

Merge the map and cut them to make a new one...

Although the real Cocos Island doesn't have a tall mountain there, the second highest mountain should be somewhere in the Industrial Jungle area, next to IJ2. If you were going from IJ to PV (near the Geothermal Plant), you'd have to climb it...

Well obviously Isla Sorna isn't a real island. Even if it is based on Cocos. I planned on it being a more once active part of its volcanic origins. Not to delve deep into that in the level besides terrain, but the working logic I have Mt. Crick would be a dormant volcano. The 1997 Walkthrough made it sound like Mt. Crick was Mt. Watson's equivalent, and yet there really isn't much to go by in the game or any of the levels released.

Yes, it may not make geological sense. No, I don't really care. I'm not trying to be totally loyal to the layout of Cocos. It may throw a bit of the geologic sense of the area in wack, but it in my mind it would pace better, having the locations of the Gatherer's camp there, seeing the remains of the trailer at the bottom of a cliff in the ocean. Having the location of the Hunter's Camp make far more sense. And just give Anne's adventure less fast pacing, as it seems Trespasser was never meant to be a quick game as it was, even with Pine Valley and Plantation House and the Plains removed. I just feel it should be even longer. After all, what does Roland say at the Gatherer's basecamp? "A day's hike"? I think the only way any of the film material makes sense in the context of Trespasser would be to place it around Mt. Crick, between JR and PH.

Accuracy in geology and geography can take a second seat as film continuity took a second seat in the development of Trespasser.

Thank you for the maps though, I have some researching to do.
