I still think that's a post-render addition. The trees in the distance in the PlainsView image are definitely that model, but the one in the foreground has more branches, more leaves, and doesn't look like a + shaped set of planes.

I have to agree with machf; I think what you're seeing is the unusual appearance of the textures featured on both. Haven't seen that on any other models.

Looking at the image again... There appears to be a micro-scale pine tree in the corner in front of the steg.

Huh. Well I guess we can't really know for sure. I just think the textures look too clear for a Trespasser object...it stands out oddly.

Rolf said he made that image for himself, so it is very possible it contain stuff never intended for Trespasser that he made himself.
