Has anything changed in the last few years?

Post by Assassin X »

I haven't been on this forum in years when I played the ATX mod. Has there been any other great mods for the games? Or any mods in general for other games that are worthy of being JP related? Thanks.

Your last post was June 2009.... I believe that was before Beta Build 96 was leaked which contained Pine Valley. Also the source code was leaked, but the community's programmers haven't had a lot of time to do much with it.

There's been a few releases, like JPDS 1 by Draconisaurus, a rerelease of the original TC level and TC~Isle along with a new level called TC~Rescue by Rebel, and a few other smaller projects here and there. There's still a few in development projects as well.

As for other games, there's two mods going on right now. The big one is s13n1's Trespasser Remake using CryEngine and the other one is VagrantArt's Jurassic Park Aftermath, which recreates locations from the original Jurassic Park for exploration, which also uses CryEngine. VagrantArt also made and released a partial remake of Trespasser in Unity.

I don't have any links handy at the moment though, and I'm sure I probably missed a few things here and there.

Is that Win 7 64-bit or 32-bit?

Win 7 64 bit. Although today I had a crash in it. i Installed the patch 1.1 and set compatibility to Win 98. But keeps crashing on the level where you go through the raptor nest in the valley. Mind it crashed even before the patch and compatibility change.

Be sure your Draw Distance isn't set to high.

And as for new things, there have been two early version of the town level, as well as the jungle road level, with the infamous face stone released in their original studio max files.

Also there have been some offical documents released, and the full set of Trespasser's Soundtrack.

Ah I see thanks. I thought I read that somewhere to about the distance. Figured my computer could handle it lol. The soundtrack? I'd love to have that. It had great music.

Oh, and a new version of Jurassic Time. Annotated audio edition, and a Excavated PDF book.

Hmm. I have my draw distance totally off so its to the left side and it still is crashing. It crashes pretty much in he same spot of the raptor pit.

Maybe put the quality setting down just a tad? That's helped me before with crashes on levels. Never had to do it with a retail level though...

I believe Trespasser varies on how stable it is on modern computers.

Change to either hardware or software and try again?
