Ok, here are the sawhorses:

http://home.planet.nl/~buijs512/trescom/sawhorse.zip

In case you haven't imported the table/chair yet, replace it's texture with the one included in this zip, these two new ones share a palette.

Btw, are unused palettes removed when you replace textures with GeomAdd? I mean, if it doesn't, then we'd have to be carefull not to import too many temporary textures/palettes...

* still working on the textures for the chainsaw

Got 'um. ;)

Nope. Haven't imported the previous models into the isle yet, setting them up in a test level first (I do that with all models).

*swp updates. If you start with empty swps, then yes, it'll reclaim the palettes since they've never been added to that empty swp. There may come a point in time though where a total swp update might fail and you're left with working with a mostly up to date swp with a limited update, so concerns about palette useage is always something I keep an eye on. :)

Done with the chainsaw:

http://home.planet.nl/~buijs512/trescom/chainsaw_v1.zip

Includes 4 textures for animation. Textures have one new palette.

Got it. Very nice job on the chain's animation! Looks great, and I've got a perfect sound clip for it as well. ;) We'll definitely have to switch your InGen flashlight to full texture animation too.

Other small stuff for area: (whenever you feel like it)

Hand Timber Saw
Maul (Like a sledgehammer, with axe blade on one side)
Wedge

That should be about it for that area. (will check out new plant) :)

Took a screenshot of the chainsaw (ingame) below. Sorry it took so long, but morphing it into a dino killin' chainsaw took me a bit longer than I thought it would. Pretty neat though, Rem, you did a nice job of this! Operation (SpaceBar (Action)) chain saw rumbles to life, chain quits spinnin' at the same time audio quits (about 10 seconds). Bring bottom side of blade down onto a dino while hitting action key at same time is as damaging as a bullet wound. At present, I've placed the saw inside the lumber truck, passenger side. I'll upload the saw and its assorted files for you in a bit in case you want to go try it out. (0,0,0 coordinates, so just add position during import). I've also included the audio clip needed along with the *bat file. Basically what we have here is a chainsaw which shoots off a silent and extremely limited range bullet, so the blade of the saw actually needs to strike down and hit a dino with the bottom of the blade in order for it to inflict damage. Purty illusion. Looks as if the chainsaw blade is doing the damage, so quite cool.

*btw, I had to change the axis of the model to get the saw to operate as needed, so the original 3ds file is no longer valid from an operational point of view. Mentioning this just in case you fudge with the texture placement of the model at all. There's peeks of yellow that jump onto the metal frame (where blade goes through) at a certain distance, but I'm not sure if it's the texture mapping or the engine itself thats creating the glitch. It doesn't bother me none, but I thought I'd mention it in case you noticed --
