I'd also suggest backing up the Lost World site. Some time ago I found some images buried amidst all the stuff there, which seemed to belong to some kind of game written in Flash or something, but now I can't remember where on the site they were [wait, I just realized, those appear to be part of the "Jurassic Park III Adventure" online game]. However, I've found some thumbnails of the old Trespasser screenshots, so there may be an article on the game buried there somewhere...

How do you back up sites like that? Just save pages individually?

Well, that's certainly an option. Then there are some "crawler" programs which will go through all the links within a website and automatically save them (which is practically the same, only that it's done faster than you'd do manually). Of course, such programs may generate too much traffic for some sites...

OK, looking for more old info on Trespassser, Blue's News turned out to have a report from the E3 98 which includes the game:

And I just found an archived copy of one of the earliest Trespasser sites:

http://web.archive.org/web/199902180836 ... es/tylero/

Note this paragraph:
10/21/97
The main trespasser site has been finally updated it has a new video and two new sounds of John Hammond voice over of his memoirs of Site B. The video is of The T-Rex knocking over a pop machine or something like that (pretty cool).

John Hammond numero dos
Sadly, the Quicktime movie doesn't seem to be archived, though, oddly enough, the site where it was located ( http://www.nac.net/~users/splat/lw/ ) appears to have been archived... when it no longer existed! Yes, there are lots of pages from that site, including 4 versions of the "movie", which are nothing but HTML pages saying"Page not found", all from year 2000 or later. I wonder if they had archived copies from 1998 or 1999 and somehow they are "unlinked" now, or what.

Checking for the Adrenaline Vault (p)reviews, aside form the currently available review at

http://www.avault.com/reviews/review_te ... e=trespass

and the interview with Seamus Blackley at

http://www.avault.com/articles/getartic ... mus&page=1

there should be two previews, done by the same guy who did the interview, David Laprad, editor-in-chief. I found archived copies of them, but no screenshots:

http://web.archive.org/web/199801191809 ... s/tres.asp

http://web.archive.org/web/199902090741 ... /tresp.asp

Maybe someone could contact them and ask if the articles are still somewhere on the server...

and supposedly, several screenshots here:

I found out that page 4 of the review is stored there too:

And I just realized that several of the links I just posted in another thread I had already posted here back then...

Hmmm... it seems that, in order to load, you need to have JavaScript disabled. I guess it's trying to replace the page with another using JavaScript...
