Useful Utilities and Plugins (Updated 12/27/2006)

Post by MikeTheRaptor »

TresEd - The Trespasser Level Editor
If you don't have this already, download it! Not only is it necissary for level creation and editing, but it can also be used to view Trespasser levels in higher detail than the Trespasser engine can provide

* Installing a Max Script (.ms) file
Installing a Max Script is quite easy.
Just place .ms files in your C:/3dsmax##/scripts folder
## represents your current version number, ex. "42" = "3DSMAX Version 4.2"

Once you've done this, fire up 3DSMAX and...
1. Click the Utilities tab (little hammer on the far right). A list of new options will appear below.
2. Click MAXScript. More options will appear.
3. Click "Run Script," and a window should show up showing the contents of the Scripts Folder.
4. Click on the script you're looking to run.
5. You're done!

Hope this helps! Those more experienced members should try out the new utilities and plugins listed here, including TPDC and the ASA script maker, which have not yet been utilized outside of TC-Isle.
