You need a password generator for the level (what's it, BTW? TC Isle? TC Ops?) that can be found in the downloads section of TresCom. They do that to insure that you have the original game installed...

So I'm Not The Only One

Post by Sinnah »

I have this same problem!

I played the TC Isle demo and was thoroughly impressed so I wanted to try the unrestricted version. I downloaded from Fileplanet, but when I try to extract the setup file with Winzip it asks for a password, which I don't have. Tresword.exe doesn't work. It's not even the setup program asking for a password, it's the WinZip extractor.

I had no problems whatsoever installing and playing the demo, TC Ops (Act I), or the ATX patch, and really enjoyed them all. I have no idea what I might be doing wrong, so any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Are there different Tresword.exe's for each level?

Sorry for my ignorance, it's just that I already tried the one provided with Act I and it didn't work..

Yes, there is a difference in the TresWord versions. Each will output a different password.
