Funny, as I said, I had the chance to "revisit DooM" when I found the chainsaw, using it against the dilophosaurus just like when I used to do that with the cacodemons... and it worked very well.
As for the ship, I thought it was some bug when the valve nearly came out, and I first opened the grate just by jumping and grabbing it with the hand, then after a few minutes trying, I finally managed to jump into it.
A way to save so to speak
