VIVO clip, Mplayer and Mencoder

Post by machf »

I just found out that Mplayer is able to play the VIVO clips... and whatever Mplayer can play, Mencoder can convert into a different format, can't it? My idea is converting the Trespasser VIVO clip into a DivX or XviD AVI file, so that it can be watched more easily, and also be able to get frame-by-frame playback (for screen grabbing). However, I haven't been able yet to find out the proper parameters for Mencode, so I thought maybe one of you guys could do it quicker by using a frontend/GUI for Mencoder (I haven't been able to find a working one for Windows yet, and I haven't reinstalled Linux since I swapped my PC's HDD, hence I'm stuck with the command line options, and it's going to take me some time to read everything).
So, what do you say?

Well, I finally took the time to do it, you can find the resulting t200.avi on the diehard FTP server.
