limited level area?

Post by mega raptor »

I was working on creating a new level when I noticed that like in the test scene, space was limited and I have plans for a large level. I tried editing terrain to make the area larger, and looked in the help menu. So does annyone know how I can expand my level!?!?!?

(this actually belongs in either hacking or level editing forum)

If you import a bmp file, note the dialog box that comes up. Where you see 128, 128 (256, 256). You can increase this by powers of two (which doubles terrain area), ie. 512, 1024....

Or, say your terrain is 256, 256. Export that as a bmp file. Then open it up, expanding that to 512, 512, fill color [black]. Import at bmp file size (double height value in import dialog box too, I believe if you want to maintain existing terrain detail, though wish to add more terrain around that), type in 512, 512 in dialog box.
