shock is a piece of cake compared to java. When do you want to install it?

Very simple, use synaptic, in a terminal as root type:

synaptic [enter]

This is the gui for apt-get. First, "update list" twice. Then in the upper right hand box type mozilla and enter, and you will see it in the tree to your left. look at the bottom right and click "remove" then look up top and click "proceed" or "Execute"

done.

Before doing this, check the differences in what you have installed, and what newer version is available and you can upgrade it if you want.

Lou, please tell me about what has to be done to get school work done with your software. I may be able to help you with that. How does removing mozilla help the situation?

Post me the link and let me see if I can figure it out. If you just have to have IE, there is a way to make it work under Linux! There are also other browsers that you can try. Opera, konqueror, links, Mozilla Firebird, Galeon and a few others..

Try here..

http://www.tucows.com/preview/193778.html

It has to be run with wine. Are you able to access your Windows drive? If so you could run your existing windows ie from linux with wine. I'm going to download it and see if it will run with just regular wine.
