You should be able to:

put in floppy, then:

mount /mnt/floppy [enter]

You should then hear a *snick-bzzt--bzzt-etc..*. (the floppy being mounted.) :wink:

Then:

cd /mnt/floppy [enter]

ls [enter]

Linux: Ha ha ha!
mount: can't find /mnt/floppy in /etc/fstab or /etc/mtab

Try:

mount /dev/fd0 /floppy

put one in, then..

mount /floppy

It appears that this is a bug. I wouldn't know since my wife's laptop doesn't have a floppy drive. See this for a solution.

huh.. well i almost got it working with a swap but i have still been trying to get it to work with a swap.. I will get it to work if it is the last thing i do!! For now i have to use windoze because i do my school work online and mozilla dosnt work with the site.

dont worry dan i havnt given up.

good news dan.

I have got linux working just fine now
i have a 200 mb swap and linux loads just fine...
dont know about windows yet .. lol but who cares about windows anyway.

btw have you heard of "PLAK" ?
