Draco vs. Velociraptor
OK well I got an assignment yesterday to do a "self portrait" for Multimedia Design, with the only requirement being that I have to be somewhere in the image, so obviously the first thing I did was to trek over to jpaftermath.com and find a screenshot that I thought I could put myself in. Been working on it a while, did a photoshoot last night and now this is what I've got:
Gotta love that sword.

It looks nice, sorta reminds me of the Inheritance trilogy, but unless you can use that sword, I think the raptor's claws would kill quickly. If you can use it, then it might be a draw, or long enough for Grant To toss you a gun...

Nice photo there . just a little crit, your location in the original photo is a bit problematic with that warm light beam over the characters and the raptor's head, it will be kinda tough to fix if you've merged the layers. oh yes, and you should smooth the edges of the sword to made it more realistic.

It appears to be a tie now
Thanks for the comments! I actually already made myself more yellow and more red with color balance (it was originally rather blue), apparently not enough... seemed to me like any more made it unrealistic. But I'll do something, haven't turned the assignment in yet. May apply a slight blur aswell, though the original image wasn't 100% crisp to start.. And yeah they are all still seperate layers. As for myself being too light in the image, I disagree and I already darked myself. Anymore and it doesn't look good with the surroundings. Also the sword... not sure how much difference it'd make if I tried to even out the edges of it, besides the fact that it would be a pain to retransform it to that exact position again.. the original image was a GIF that was already cut around the edges. I can try though.
And yeah that's Aragorn's sword. Anduril, Flame of the West. Pretty hot stuff.
Thanks for the suggestions, will be working on this in school again on Monday so I'll post it again when I get a decent update.
