guiapp???

I need guiapp so I can view the e3 levels but can not find a download. The ones that came with it were for 16 bit and I forget how to use them.

Those ones are the only ones that can open them... you have to change your monitor's video settings from 32 bits to 16 bits

hmmmm, I thought someone released one without having to change it.



ok, so I got the guiapp ce one but it won't open.




and the ones I have are from the e3 thing which crashes because of some code, and the ones I compiled which don't work either.

GUIApp CE can't open the levels.

There will be working levels that you can view in TresEd before the weekend, stay put ;)

Why can't guiapp open the levels?

Also I still need a copy of guiapp without ce because ce crashes upon startup for some stupid reason. and like I said before, all he other ones crash when I load any level.


Also (again) how do you plan on opening the levels if they can't open in guiapp? 3dsmax I assume? If so, then what does that have to do with it?

The levels that comes with the E3 and PCGamer build are using a different version of some of the files, and GuiApp CE or the unmodified one coming with the source does not have backwards compatibility. The only GuiApp that can open them are the ones coming with the builds themselves. Search online how to set the computer to 16-bit coloring mode. They run fine.

You could try running GuiApp CE with the trespasser.ini file in the folder (it reads that too, just like Trespasser CE).

The builds that it came with are broken, lots of them are either crashing with assertion failed when loading a level or just crashing when upon opening them.

I had no problems with either the PCGamer GuiApp or E3 GuiApp (be sure to run the guiapp_p5 one). And yes, there might be errors, but just click retry until they go away. PCGamer GuiApp should be able to open the E3 levels too. There are some issues however where if GuiApp crash, you have to rename the file in order for it to work properly again.

Or you wait another day and will have ready versions for TresEd.
