JPDS1 - Shit-Beta To-Do List

K so, JPDS1 is being stripped down even more to the point where it will be an incomplete level in some aspects. Here's the new to-do list for this week, which I'd like to see get done:
  1. Water/riverbed object placement
  2. Shorten Browning Stump
  3. Finish Comm. Station
  4. Makeshift Visitors Lodge
  5. HC generator/laser fence
  6. Finish HC
  7. Fix height of HSP
  8. Limit explorable area of Plains?
  9. Bring in Lab from Tres to HRS (barricade entrance)
  10. Bed subobjects
  11. End table mags
  12. Hammond desk
  13. Makeshift HRS
  14. Fix bridges around level (height etc.)
  15. Makeshift dam rock "explosion"
  16. Fix gun scale
  17. New retail raptor skin selection/import
  18. Better EA mock model
  19. Use Tres fence around EA
  20. Place TC dead & flying ptera
  21. Use ***App to fix object heights
  22. Combine all sublevels
  23. Makeshift Cutscenes?! Intro and Newgame x_x
  24. Create additive TPA files (installer must seek out originals minus menu)
  25. Finalize ~ dead hunters event(s)
  26. Finalize ~ Music/Sound design
  27. Finalize ~ foliage (if applicable)
  28. Finalize ~ environmental scripting (EAX environments, random birds, fog areas, new hint triggers)
  29. Finalize ~ dino placement
  30. Finalize ~ gun placement
  31. Finalize ~ scripted events/puzzles/text guides
  32. Finalize ~ JPDS1.swp contents
  33. Create valid JPDS1.scn file in ***App if possible
  34. Finalize ~ Menu (HUD, sounds)
  35. Finalize ~ ATXconfig settings, folder/file set-up
  36. Write JPDS installer
  37. Release JPDS1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alright everyone, this list just happened to end up at 42 points. That's the answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything, so we better get this right! Everyone please disregard the previous to-do lists and let me know if you've got time to help with any of THESE points. Biggest non-technical things will be dinosaur and gun placement, just considering how much there will need to be.. and Rex, I need to find where I put your app that rescales objects within a TPM file! XD

Let's get to work people! This is the final stretch, Release or Bust.

Just giving an update here... progress going a bit slower than hoped. :yum: Have completed these items:
  • Finish gas station
  • Texture Hanger, barricade
  • Finish runway
Was 42, now 39

Hoping next to tackle the T-Rex nest top, fences around EA, dead & flying ptera, and finish placement of the river course objects.. Progress has been made earlier on the Visitors Lodge - started lots of placement of the collapsible walls. It's going to be more tedious than I imagined to set it up so you can make your way to the top..

Have been at work on the level for a while, now.. (within sublevels)
  • Model Rex Nest Top
  • Finish Cave
was 39, now 37

Other things not on the list that I've completed are - Retexturing RexNest trnobj, updated physics of large rocks, lots of work on the lodge and scaffolding.. and some other things I can't recall.

PS: Still need to do the actual waterfall for the cave.. I'll handle all those at once.
