JPMod Status Update Thread.

The project now has a real name: Jurassic Park: Oblivion (emphasizing JP's state in the public's eye in the movies by 1996)

As you can see, I'm working on the Explorers. These are obviously higher quality then everything else I've modeled so far, so I'm informing you that I will begin remodeling what I have modeled with my new skills. This is to make the mod the most accurate and playble fan level set for Trespasser.

After I'm done with the Explorer, I will finish the Ops Center finally (for use with Trespassing and another project of mine), and then I will go back to modeling the Visitor Center.

Now, here's the full story of JPO:

You play Jill, a former InGen employee, who is on vacation with her husband Kyle. The two are on a boat tour of various islands near Costa Rica. Jill has told her husband about Jurassic Park and he has two head for Isla Nublar with their own boat. Unfortunately a storm strikes as they approach the island and the boat sinks, killing Kyle. Jill wakes up on the Eastern shore the next day...

The mod is to have several instances of flashbacks to various times in JP history, from construction to the incident on Isla Nublar. Including a digital recreation of the T-Rex attack, Nedry shutting down the park and stealing the embryos, and the various essential personnel's fates on the island.

Now that you mention flashbacks, I'm curious... I wanted to ask this the other day but then forgot. Is it possible to have a cutscene in the middle of a level, triggered by a certain action? What about a cutscene at the end of a level, before starting to load the next?

sounds like a cool game....I'm interested in designing a logo for it, even though you have one...would you be ok with that

Yeah; I requested that feature. You can play any SMK video anytime during gameplay using ActionType 105.

hppav -- this level sounds VERY interesting. Good luck. :)

it will probably have less splatter on the final version...but how do you feel about the color scheme...I love it, seems a bit different...
